洪源村位于培丰镇东南方向，距集镇约2千米，辖11个自然村。[1]

村名与地形、水源有关：村子处在盆地之中，地势东南高而西北低，东南一侧发源三条小溪，然而常年缺水，土地平坦肥沃。人们盼望有充足的水源，于是取名洪源。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期这里属培丰乡。1958年撤区后，此地属培丰乡的一个管理区；1982年才划分出洪源村，1984年村委会定名洪源村委会，1993年培丰设镇后由培丰管辖。[1]

2021年10月，龙岩市农业农村局把洪源村认定为「龙岩市2021年市级“一村一品”专业村」（烤烟）。福建省爱卫办于2021年11月把洪源村列为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]

2022年12月，福建省农业农村厅把洪源村确定为「2022年度福建省“一村一品”专业村」（烟稻）。2024年1月，村庄获授「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」称号。[1]
