吴银村是一个偏僻的分散山区村，离湖坑镇政府所在地13公里，海拔800至960米，是革命基点村，有「红旗不倒之乡」之称。2020年2月入选福建省第三批省级传统村落。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历是：取老吴仔、银兰坑两个自然村各一字，合为吴银。[1]

1961年分为两个大队，设吴银大队。1984年建乡后称湖坑乡吴银村委会，1993年改镇后改称吴银村民委员会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村子背靠海拔1560米的仙岽，山顶设有航空线碑，山林中有仙栋林场的防火瞭望台。境内还有珍稀物种红豆杉。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

南边的旗扇山是革命遗址，据博雅地名网，解放战争时期红军和游击队曾在这一带扎营，并在旗扇山成立永、靖、和三县游击武工大队。[1][2]
