奥杳村位于永定东南部的高山平原中，因地形酷似大船，当地人称它「天海仙船」。2017年8月入选福建省第二批省级传统村落，2024年11月被评为福建省「一村一品」专业村（红柿）。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名的来历是：这里地处高山盆地，地势宽阔，远望渺茫，先人便以此定名为奥杳。[1]
新中国成立前属奥东保，此后数次改称，1961年设奥杳大队。1984年建乡后，村级组织为湖坑乡奥杳村委会；1993年乡改镇，村委会改名湖坑镇奥杳村民委员会。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村子处在长型的高山平原上，东西方向较长。烤烟种植历史悠久，此外红柿、水稻、毛豆和高山茶也是村里的产业。[1][2]
文化[edit]
金莲山寺位于村南的九十九岽半山腰，建于清康熙年间，已成为佛教旅游胜地。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
奥杳庆福楼是福建省第十一批省级文物保护单位，建于清光绪年间，楼体以夯土墙和杉木结构为主。[1]
奥杳的天主堂始建于清同治十三年。博雅地名网称它是闽西第一座天主教堂，永定区政府网站则称它是永定第一座天主教堂。[2][3]
