楼下村位于永定南部，北距湖坑镇所在地6公里，辖楼下、彩乾、斗角三个自然村。2003年被永定县农村信用合作联合社授予「信用村」称号，2020年2月入选福建省第三批省级传统村落。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历是：村中李姓先祖自湖坑迁来，原在杨姓的楼墙下搭屋暂住，后来杨姓人家绝迹，李姓渐渐兴旺，遂有此名。[1]

1949年前，这里属吴乾保。1961年设四个大队，称楼下大队；1965年冬一度并入其他大队，1977年又分出四个大队，恢复楼下大队。1984年8月起设湖坑乡楼下村民委员会，1993年改镇后沿用村名，隶属湖坑镇。[1]
