中湖村是一个革命基点村，位于抚市镇中南部，距镇政府约6公里。村子下辖内湖、中湖、外湖和杏坑四个自然村。[1][2]

村名原称「湖洋坑」。村中分为内湖、外湖两片，村委会设在中间，故以「中湖」为名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

土地革命时期，村里设过乡苏维埃政府的驻地。新中国成立前，此地属中丰乡中湖保；之后归所在乡管辖。公社化后划入抚市公社的一个管理区。1961年成立中湖大队，1966年至1976年间一度改名红湖大队，1984年起称中湖村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年1月，本村获评「2020年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」；2021年11月，获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号；2024年1月，获评「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」。[1]

经济[edit]

村内有十几个矿井，煤炭资源丰富；村中还盛产毛竹、杉木和水果，生猪养殖业发展较快。[2]
