深度村位于湖雷镇东北角，村民依永定河岸而居，辖上深度、下深度两个自然村。境内多沙质旱地，水利设施原来落后。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

旧时两岸往来靠木船摇渡，渡口选在河床较深之处，故名深度。渡口上方为上深度，下方为下深度。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年组成湖雷公社下的深度大队，1984年建乡后成为深度村委会。[1][3]

水利[edit]

靠河沿岸的耕地在1958年前以高车取水灌溉。之后全镇人力新辟了一条锦溪大圳，直通白岽村的凹头甲，旱地由此改善。[2]

文化[edit]

深度村于2021年12月入选福建省第二批高级版绿盈乡村（乡镇）名单，同月获2021年度福建省森林村庄称号。2020年12月，该村被认定为龙岩市第一批中级版绿盈乡村。[1]
