罗潭村地处湖雷镇西南部，紧靠永定河两岸，抚石线穿村而过，距县城约六千米。村民以蔬菜种植为主业，苦瓜是传统产业。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村子临永定河，这一段河床浅滩较多，当地人以“深”为潭、“浅”为滩，村初名罗滩，后改名罗潭。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年以前村子属罗滩保；1958年设罗滩大队；1984年设罗滩村委会，此后改名罗潭村民委员会。[3]

经济[edit]

因临近县城，村中发展了城郊型农业。[2]

文化[edit]

罗潭村于2021年11月获评「2021年福建省卫生村」，由省爱卫办确定。[1]
