前坊村是湖雷镇的行政村，地处镇西，位于永定河右岸，村子呈长条形，东临永定河。村中有清代府第式土楼顺德楼。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

约千年前，罗姓先人最先在此定居，以作坊为业，住在溪前，故名前坊。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年以前村子归前坊保，1958年成为前坊大队，1984年建乡后设前坊村民委员会。[1][3]

名胜古迹[edit]

顺德楼始建于清道光年间，占地约2500平方米，是府第式结构的土楼。楼门开在前堂朝东的一侧，前楼为东、南、西三面的回堂，中楼为二层，后楼高四层，前低后高。[2]

文化[edit]

前坊村于2022年12月被定为2022年福建省森林村庄，由省绿化委员会命名。[1]
