历史沿革[edit]
1981年冬分出设村，1984年建乡后改为湖瑶村民委员会。[2]
据赖氏族谱，赖姓先人明初从江西广昌迁来，至今已有五百多年。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
湖瑶广和楼是湖瑶赖氏一族人经营条丝烟致富后所建，据博雅地名网所载，始建于清光绪三十三年（1907年），占地约420平方米，为土木结构。[1]
瑶贝岭原有一座四层土楼，四角突出，安装铳炮，俗称铳角楼，据载为赖尚龙所建。清同治四年（1865年）太平军经过湖雷，攻围此楼，楼被焚毁，今存残墙。[2]
著名人物[edit]
赖俊（1903～1928年）是湖瑶村人，1917年到漳州读书，1919年10月赴法国勤工俭学。[1]
文化[edit]
湖瑶村于2021年11月获评「2021年福建省卫生村」，由省爱卫办确定。[1]
