历史沿革[edit]
1949年时归下洋乡管辖。1956年撤区并乡后设立月霞管理区；1958年下洋公社成立，其下的月霞大队即此地；1984年，本地设月霞村民委员会。[1]
1992年9月，原月霞村的地域分成霞村与廖陂两部分，本地改设廖陂村民委员会。[1][3]
人口与民族[edit]
村内以廖、张、曾三姓为主，下辖房屋、下陂、欧里、坝心四个自然村。[2][3]

村子以养猪、种田为主要产业，村内树林与竹林资源丰富。[3]
