上川村是福建省龙岩市永定区下洋镇的行政村，辖丹竹、上店、委子寨、昌陇等自然村。[1]

村名的由来：约370年前，有人从上杭县教坊前迁居到上赤坑。1949年间，有人认为「上赤坑」一名不够开阔，遂改称上川；上杭原名上川，也有纪念由上杭迁来的意思。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年至1956年归上川乡管辖；1956年至1958年为上川管理区；1958年至1984年为上川大队；1984年，上川村民委员会成立，至今。[1]
