小丁坑村位于岩山镇东南部，距镇政府驻地芹元村约12公里，西北与莱山村相接，北面连着黄固村，东面与漳平境内相邻，南面与玉宝村毗邻。[1][2]
村名的来历：相传清代，张姓人在此开辟村庄，西边有一小坑；建国前张姓人家无后，便以「丁」字代替「张」字，村名因此叫小丁坑。[1][2]
历史沿革[edit]
解放前此地属玉丁保的一部分，解放初属玉山乡。1962年设大队，1972年并入邻近大队，1984年归属邻村的村委会，1987年分出，单独设立小丁坑村委会，隶属岩山乡。[1]
民国时期的1928年至1935年间，魏金水、伍洪祥、邱金星等革命前辈在村中开展游击斗争，村里曾建立苏维埃政府，村民支持游击队送粮、送信。该村是革命基点村。[2]
2021年1月，村子被命名为2020年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」；2024年1月，被命名为2023年度同名称号。[1]
