元青村是岩山镇下辖的行政村，位于镇政府驻地芹元村西南约2.4公里处，东北面与芹元村相邻。[1]

村名最初写作袁青，据说因袁姓人家开辟此地，寄望家庭兴旺、青山常在而定名；后因读音相近，改作元青。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前此地属内山联保，后与邻近两地合为一个保。解放初归芹山乡，1956年并入农业高级合作社。[1]

元青大队设于1975年；村名于1984年定为元青村，1987年另立村委会，隶属岩山乡；2014年起属岩山镇。2024年1月，村子被命名为2023年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」；2021年1月，曾被命名为2020年度同名称号。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村庄四面环山，地势起伏，山地面积较大。境内有煤炭、石灰岩等矿产，林木也较多。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内的庙宇有天后宫（又称姑婆宫）、陈公宫和元帅宫，另有大庵，并供奉盘古王公等神灵。[1]
