儒芦村是小池镇下辖的行政村，城乡分类属村庄。村名的来历与明代的炼铁炉有关。[1]

地名由来[edit]

据博雅地名网引录的明嘉靖《龙岩县志》，明代以前龙岩的炼铁炉耗用木炭很多，须设在林木茂密之处，一处树木砍尽便要迁移，这类「移炉」因此得名；后以龙岩话的同音雅化为「儒芦」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前此地属小池乡；解放初归小池区，当时叫儒芦乡。1957年撤区并乡后又回到小池乡，1958年组成儒芦大队，归小池公社管辖，1984年设儒芦村委会。村名沿用至今。[1]
