村北有溪流经过，村名由溪名而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，村子有七百多年的历史。1931年恢复为北溪村，1941年设为北溪保，1961年改为北溪大队，1984年改设北溪村委会，属大池乡管辖。[1]
