梅村位于万安镇北部，与连城县的几个乡镇接壤，村中的梅村圩是周边农副产品的集散地。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1957年归梅竹乡。1958年这里成为梅村公社的一部分，后并入万安公社，名为梅村生产大队。1984年起为村民委员会，隶属万安乡；1995年划归万安镇。[1][2]

人口与产业[edit]

全村耕地1878亩，山林2156亩，森林覆盖率73%。[1]

全村354户、1362人，辖9个村民小组，下辖6个自然村。[1]

村民以种植、养殖为主，外出打工为辅。土特产有笋罐、风鸭、香菇、木耳、竹制品和红曲糯米酒，笋罐远销东南亚，竹制品销往浙江省。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

梅村头的古居民建筑、梅村古街与天后宫是村中的主要古迹；梧宅的显济宫、龙窟石等景点也在本村境内。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2015年10月，梅村入选福建省第一批省级传统村落；2016年12月，列入第四批中国传统村落名录。[1]

2021年11月，获福建省卫生村称号；2022年12月，被福建省绿化委员会命名为2022年福建省森林村庄。[1]
