营边村位于白沙镇政府所在地东南方约7公里，距龙岩中心城区约50公里，聚落沿溪依山呈长条形分布。村名因地处旧称捷步营的大溪边而得。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期为营边保。解放初隶属捷步村，1957年归白沙乡。1958年设白沙公社营边大队，1960年体制合并，1965年再次分设营边大队。1984年分出营边村委会，仍属白沙乡；1995年起设白沙镇营边村委会。[1]

文化[edit]

2019年6月，本村被列入「第五批中国传统村落」名录。[1]
