田坑村位于白沙镇东部山区，在612县道旁，距镇政府约5公里。解放前这里是几百亩无人居住的田洋，名为坑头坪；1956至1959年间，山尖峰、九层岩两地的村民迁至此处建房，取村名为田坑。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1985年起单独设立田坑村委会，初称白沙乡田坑村委会；1996年改称白沙镇田坑村委会。[1][2]

文化[edit]

2021年11月，本村被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
