郭畲村位于白沙镇境内612县道旁，离镇政府约7公里，距龙岩中心城区约36公里。村名相传源于郭姓族人在此开辟荒山、定居繁衍。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明代，本地属九龙乡万安里苏坂社；清代至民国初仍属苏坂社，之后划入美和乡。解放初属沙河区，后归白沙乡管辖。[1]

1956年设郭畲高级社，1958年划为白沙公社的一个大队，1960年体制下放。1966年从中分出，设郭畲大队；1984年改称白沙乡郭畲村委会，1995年改称白沙镇郭畲村委会。[1]
