白沙镇是新罗区下辖的镇，镇政府设在白沙村，离龙岩市区有48公里路程。[2]

据博雅地名网镇条，镇驻地河边旧有三处大沙石坂，河水长年冲刷，河沙洁白，故名白沙。[1]

这里在1934年设白沙区，1937年3月归第三区；1941年12月划出设白沙镇和美和乡，1948年再设白沙镇。1984年10月起称白沙乡，1995年12月结束乡制，改为镇。[3]

2011年4月，环境保护部把「2011年度国家级生态乡镇」的称号授予白沙镇；2024年4月，白沙镇进入「第三批省级乡村振兴示范乡镇创建对象」名单。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明代，今镇域的一部分属九龙乡万安里（霍村社、苏坂社一带），另一部分属集贤里，徐溪、孔党、小溪等社在其内。明隆庆元年（1567年），集贤里这几个社划归宁洋县。[3]

清代至民国初，此地为福村社。福苏区苏维埃政府曾管辖这里，其后改设白沙区，又曾并入第三区，再于1941年析出，单设白沙镇。[3]

解放后，白沙、捷步、黄岭、西和等乡曾隶属沙河区；1956年宁洋县撤销，其小溪区的七个乡并入白沙区。1957年6月撤区，改设白沙、小溪、罗山三个乡，1958年组成三个人民公社，次年并为一个白沙公社；1961年重新分为三社，1965年10月复并为白沙公社。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

「中共闽粤赣边临时代表大会旧址」即吴氏公祠，在白沙村西北约1公里，是白沙吴氏的祖祠，建于清末。会议于1937年10月9日至15日在此举行，议定设立中共闽粤赣边区临时省委，推举张鼎丞担任省委书记。2001年，该祠被列为县级文物保护单位。[4][5]

「红九团指挥部旧址内村善继堂」位于内村，建于清同治七年（1868年），为两进廊院带左右横屋的土木结构二层建筑。1934年7月，红九团指挥部设在这里，并在附近指挥战斗，设伏击败福建省保安第十二团的李敬慎部，为之后岩连宁根据地的形成打下了基础。[4]

「岩连宁特区政府旧址——白沙吴氏宗祠」位于苏一田村，建于清代，为单进平房，占地约200平方米，是岩连宁特区政府的见证地。[4]

「岩连宁革命公墓」在营斗村马家山自然村的罗家溪峡谷畔。1934年至1937年间，红九团等红军游击队在岩连宁根据地坚持游击战争，不少指战员牺牲于此。1939年，当地群众把散落各处的900余具遗骸收集起来，统一葬于此地，称“万仙墓”。[4]
