梅头村位于雁石镇西南边，村名取自驻地梅头，村子处在梅林之中。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前此地称黄田保梅头甲。1961年单独成立梅头大队，1989年单独设立梅头村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2022年12月，梅头村获「2022年福建省卫生村」称号。2024年1月，该村名列「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」。[1]
