厦中村位于雁石镇东南方向，村名取自它处在厦老片村中部的位置。该村2024年起成为「第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇」的创建对象之一。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1965年冬，此地合并为厦中大队，1984年改设厦中村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2023年1月，厦中村名列「2022年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」。同年12月，村子入选「龙岩市2023年度乡村振兴示范村镇」。2024年2月，厦中村成为「第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇」的创建对象。[1]
