1989年，坪洋村委会成立，驻地在埔坪。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2022年10月，坪洋村入选「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」，认定机关为福建省农业农村厅。2022年12月，村子获「2022年福建省卫生村」的称号。2026年1月，坪洋村列为「福建省2026年度乡村振兴示范村」之一。平安村居（社区）名单中，该村也先后出现于2020、2022、2023年度的名单。[1]
