下屿村是福建省龙岩市新罗区适中镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的主河道南端，四面青山环抱，村境呈曲尺形小盆地。村名的来历是地势低、四周环山，俗称“屿”，与上屿相对，故称下屿。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

解放初隶属适中区永霞乡，1957年并入永和乡，1958年设下屿大队。1965年该大队又被划入温屿大队。[1]

1984年时仍隶温屿村委会（适中乡）；1989年设下屿村委会，属适中镇。[1]

地理与林业[edit]

村境盆地分前后两部分，前部为村民聚居地和良田，后部以耕地为主。村内山地面积较大，木材蓄积量丰富。[2]

旧时，村中的古驿道是适中通往南靖县城的必经之路，道旁松树、阔叶树、杉木和毛竹连片生长。[2]

生产与交通[edit]

土法造纸是村中唯一较有规模的副业，兴盛时有四十至五十槽，一直延续到20世纪70年代前期。竹器也是旧时的主要交易产品。[2]

1960年，村中建起适中境内较早的小水电站，结束了用松明照明的历史。1979年11月，通往仁和村的公路全线贯通。[2]

教育与卫生[edit]

1950年创办下屿初小，1970年附设初中班。1958年适中卫生院在村中设医疗点，1972年改为农村合作医疗站。[2]

荣誉[edit]

本村在龙岩市2020年度「平安村居（社区）」名单之内，名单公布于2021年1月。[1]
