颜中村隶属适中镇，位于镇的东北方，东与漳平市永福镇相接，南与南靖县和溪镇交界，北与象山村为邻。村名取自处于所辖各自然村中心的颜山头。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立前，此地为东家联保，隶属象和乡。后曾归洋东乡管辖。1958年东家改称颜中大队，下辖东家、前林、林田、内田等生产队。[2]

1988年，大队分设为两个行政村，即颜中村与另一个村。1984年设颜中村委会，1989年改属适中镇。[2]

1997年后，村民整体搬迁，在中心村范围内建成内田新村、林田新村和颜中新村，行政村的建制未变。[2]

地理与矿产[edit]

村域地处偏僻山区，是新罗区、漳平市与南靖县三地的结合部。已探明的矿产有铀矿、铅锌矿、铁矿、高岭土矿等10多种。[2]

交通与古驿道[edit]

漳龙古驿道经过林田、如山头一带，是闽西通往和溪、南靖、漳州、厦门的要道。驿道沿线曾建有多座凉亭。[2]

明代末年，林田一带设堡垒以扼守龙岩方向的隘口。顺治十一年（1654年），知县王有容主持修葺林田堡，清代又在此设关塘汛，驻兵守隘。[2]

1979年，村中公路建成通车；漳龙高速公路沿溪柄溪河道穿过村境。[2]

荣誉[edit]

省爱卫办在2021年11月公布颜中村为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
