新祠村是福建省龙岩市新罗区适中镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域北部，距镇政府约10公里。村名的来历据说与一座祠堂有关，村内辖杨头、黄墘、卢尾三个自然村。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

传说黄姓族人先到黄墘定居，后有一支迁往新畲地，并在那里建了祠堂，地名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前，此地属象和乡。解放后，一度与邻近数村合设兰新乡。1958年设兰新大队，1965年新祠另设大队。[1]

1984年设新祠村委会，1989年改属适中镇。[1]

地理与交通[edit]

村域面积约11707亩，其中耕地624亩。2006年全村291户，850人。该村为革命基点村。[2]

319国道与厦蓉高速公路适中互通出口都在境内，以新祠为起点的乡村公路通往镇北的几个村，使其成为适中北部的交通枢纽。[2]

产业[edit]

村内有石灰石资源，发展水泥产业；农业方面养殖蛋鸡，种植蜜雪梨和脐橙。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2017年12月，新祠村列入「首批全国农村幸福社区建设示范单位」。[1]

省爱卫办在2021年11月公布新祠村为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
