石埠村是北城街道下辖的行政村，属城乡结合区。旧时村内的石阶路多以石块砌成，地名先叫石步岭，后改作石埠[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

村中始祖约在明洪武年间（1373年）由上杭县迁来，在此繁衍[1]。明代此处为城区西郊的石埠岭聚落[1]。

清朝及民国初年归湖邦社，此后划为湖邦区，又隶属龙门镇[1]。

1953年后隶属龙门乡，并受龙门镇管理。1957年撤区并乡，划入湖邦乡；1958年设石埠生产大队，归湖邦公社。1984年，村委会名为石埠村委会，仍属龙门镇。2011年起，归北城街道管辖，村委会仍称石埠[1]。

村庄先后获评2020年度、2022年度与2023年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」，认定时间分别为2021年1月、2023年1月与2024年1月[1]。
