闽西交易城社区是北城街道下辖的城市社区，属主城区，名称来自辖区内的中国闽西交易城[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1999年10月，市里作出在城区西北郊建设龙岩中心市场的决定，市场定名为中国闽西交易城[1]。据百度百科，规划总用地约66.7公顷；市场在2001年9月28日开门营业，属闽粤赣边一带规模较大的综合商品市场，内分十个专业交易区，其中有服装、建材、电子电器等类[2]。

据博雅地名网，2001年交易城投入使用后设立居委会，2002年改制为社区居民委员会[1]；百度百科则把社区的设立时间记作2004年7月[2]。两处所载的设立时间不同，此处并列。

社区内商铺共4162间，占地面积约33.35万平方米，百度百科未注明这些数字所指的年份[2]。

社区先后获评2022年度与2023年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」，认定时间分别为2023年1月与2024年1月[1]。
