铁山街道是福建省龙岩市新罗区下辖的街道，位于龙岩市区东北面，距龙岩中心城区约5公里。漳龙铁路、南龙铁路、双永高速与省道福三线穿过境内，是连接新罗区与漳平市的交通通道之一。[3]

街道辖2个社区、19个行政村，共21个，下设89个村民小组。境内有煤炭、石灰石、高岭土等矿产，富溪大峡谷是街道内的景区。[3][5]

地名由来[edit]

关于“铁山”一名，有两种说法：一说取“铁石”与“内山”两地各一字，另一说因境内东宝山的铁矿石堆积如山而得名。[4]

历史沿革[edit]

明代，这一带属铁石乡在坊里管辖，乡内的铁石洋、溪西、平林、蒋武以及南面的白岩前等村落都在其范围内。清代至民国初，此地分属铁石洋社、平林社、白岩社，以及平在坊的溪西一带。[1][2]

1929年7月至次年冬，上洋、下洋、外洋一带属铁山区苏维埃政府管辖；1930年3月至次年1月，平林、林邦属平林区苏维埃；1931年4月至10月，境内大部分地方分属平铁（铁山）区与白岩区苏维埃政府。[2]

1957年撤区并乡，设铁山乡与白岩乡；1958年两乡改为人民公社，此后经历数次合并与分设。1984年7月改设铁山乡，1989年7月撤乡建镇，1995年3月撤镇设铁山街道。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

街道地处龙岩市区东北面，总面积128.28平方千米（据街道办事处网站简介）。龙津河在境内过境。[1][3]

赣龙铁路与东环高速公路穿过辖区，南龙铁路、梅坎铁路也经过境内，省道福三线同样在此延伸。境内煤炭、石灰石、高岭土等矿产资源较多。[3]

文化[edit]

街道获得的荣誉有「全国村务公开民主管理先进乡镇」「中国绿色名镇」「中国百佳节约型乡镇」「省级文明镇」和「省科普先进乡镇」等称号。据街道网站，全省最早设立的省级可持续发展实验区便设在铁山。[3]

2021年2月，铁山街道上榜「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单；2024年1月，又获评2023年度龙岩市「平安乡镇（街道）」。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

富溪大峡谷位于富溪村，是以漂流为主要项目的景区，河道全长4.5公里，最大落差80米，2022年7月正式开园。[5][3]

著名人物[edit]

林映雪（1909－1982），铁山乡人，曾任中共龙岩地委委员、龙岩专员公署副专员。[6][8]

邱浩川（1904－1970），字振溪，洋头村人，1922年自登高两等小学毕业后从教，后任小学教师与校长。[7]
