考塘村位于龙门街道，距龙岩市区约11公里，319国道与龙长高速贯穿全村。村名取义于祠堂前所挖的数口池塘，寓意培育人才，初称考堂，后改为考塘。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明代，此地是铁石乡龙门里湖洋社下的考塘聚落；清代及民国初年，它划入湖邦社。1929年至1932年间，它处于湖邦区苏维埃政府管辖之下的一个乡内，1941年归龙门镇。[1]
新中国成立后，1949年11月村归湖邦区，1956年划入龙池区。1958年9月起，它隶属湖邦、小池、龙门公社，成为考塘生产大队；1984年改设龙门镇考塘村村民委员会。[1]
2021年11月，村获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号；2022年10月，福建省农业农村厅将村列为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
红军东路军考塘大捷旧址（协鸿楼）在村中。公路两侧原有奎阁楼、协鸿楼两座坚固的炮楼，驻有重兵。村庄坐落于山谷低洼处，两侧高山环抱，形势险峻。1932年4月底，红军东路军向东推进。[1]
