郭墘村位于龙门北部，东南与湖一村相邻，由郭山、内墘两个自然村组成。村名取郭山、内墘两个自然村各一字而定。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明代此处隶属铁石乡龙门里湖洋社，已有聚落；清代至民国初转归湖邦社。1929年至1932年间，它为湖邦区苏维埃政府下的龙门乡；1936年后分属湖洋联保与后墘保。[1]

1949年11月起属湖邦区湖洋村，1953年改属新洋乡；1956年为湖洋乡，次年为新洋村。1958年9月起，它隶属湖邦、小池、龙门公社，分设内墘、郭墘两个生产大队；1984年改设龙门镇郭墘村村民委员会。[1]

2021年1月和2024年1月，村先后被命名为「2020年度」「2023年度」龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」。[1]
