盂头村在东肖街道东部，紧邻龙岩学院南侧，是一个革命基点村。[1]村名来自前盂、后盂两处角落的地名，并将坤阳厝、盂角林合起来统称为盂头村。[1]2023年1月和2024年1月，村庄先后被命名为2022年度与2023年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期此地属溪圣乡与白土镇。解放初，村址归东红区、东肖区，后随区划归附城区。1957年撤区并乡，村子划入东肖乡。1958年，东肖公社设盂头大队；1960年一度改归城郊公社的盂头大队；1961年复设东肖公社盂头大队。1984年改为东肖镇盂头村委会。[1]
