经杨村是偏远的山村，地处曹溪与漳平永福镇的交界处。村名由上、下经畲与杨梅坪各取一字合成。[1][2]

地名由来与早期历史[edit]

据博雅地名网，1428年，一位十一世祖自永福迁至结畲开基，此地初名「经畲」，后分为上、下经畲。村名取上、下经畲的「经」字和杨梅坪的「杨」字。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1929年至1932年间，此地归蕉坑与南福曲两处苏维埃政府管理，民国22年后划为象和乡所辖。解放后曾归西陈区、附城区，之后并入中粉乡。1958年改隶中粉公社；1961至1965年间属别的公社，1965年转入曹溪公社。1984年设经杨村委会，属曹溪镇，2013年改隶曹溪街道。[1]

社会变迁[edit]

1996年，因水泥厂建设，约三分之二的村民迁居到平原一侧的新村，转为城镇居民，村里随之调整经济结构，以出租旺铺、承包包装工段等方式增加集体收入。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年1月和2024年1月，该村分别被命名为2020年度和2023年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」。[1]
