东山村位于曹溪街道的东部，坐落在东山的山脚下，村名因此而来。省道围禾线与东山路贯穿全境，村子是革命基点村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明代此地隶属铁石乡在坊里，属城南东山的山麓聚落。清代至民国初归东山社。1929年至1932年间，东山区、山马与南福曲三处苏维埃政府先后管辖此地。民国时期它又分属曹溪联保、东安乡与曹莲乡。解放后，1958年设东山大队；1984年设曹溪乡东山村委会，1989年改为曹溪镇东山村委会，2013年改隶曹溪街道，村委会随之更名。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2023年1月，该村被命名为2022年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」。[1]
