马坑村位于曹溪街道的西南部，紧邻漳龙高速公路与国道319线，是革命基点村。村名源于村口一座形似马的山。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明代这片地方归铁石乡龙门里上坪上社所辖，清代到民国初年归马坑社。1929至1932年的苏维埃时期，本村归马坑与山马两处政府管理，此后划入东安乡与曹莲乡。解放后，村子先后隶属溪山乡与山马大队；1984年设山马村委会，1989年另设马坑村委会，属曹溪镇，2013年改隶曹溪街道。[1]

自然环境[edit]

村内蕴含铁矿、石灰石、黄土等多种资源，山林面积大，耕地较少。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2023年1月，该村被命名为2022年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」。[1]
