紫阳村位于西陂街道北部，耕地面积238亩[1]。村名取自朱熹的号「紫阳」[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

村民原籍为红坊一带的生产队，后迁来此地。因修建黄岗水库，村民迁至西陂北部，在原商业局南石畜牧场一带另建新村，仍取原名紫阳[1]。1984年设紫阳村委会[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2012年，紫阳村被评为省级卫生村[1]。另由福建省农业农村厅认定，紫阳村列入「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」（2022年10月）[1]。
