排头村位于西陂街道西部，总面积1200亩[1]。村名的来历：村子位于西湖岩山麓，山坡上有一处地名「西山排」，此村在西山排的上头，故名排头[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

解放前这里属西墩乡，解放后划入西陈区；1956年划入附城区，1957年撤区并乡后归西陂乡[1]。1961年以大队形式设于西陂公社之下，1984年改设排头村委会；1992年冠镇名称西陂镇排头村委会，2013年改称西陂街道排头村委会[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2012年，排头村被评为省级卫生村[1]。2020年9月，阿里研究院公布的「2020年淘宝村」名单有本村在内；2021年11月，排头村获评「2021年福建省卫生村」[1]。
