华龙社区是西陂街道西南部的社区，属主城区[1]。社区所在的这片地方，过去是一家工厂的厂区，厂子停办后建起居民区，居民区仍沿用厂名中的「华龙」二字作为社区名[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

这里最早办起的是风动厂，始建于1958年。1987年改名华龙机械厂；工厂停办后，原址改建为居民社区，社区于2002年设居委会[1]。
