西陂街道是福建省龙岩市新罗区下辖的街道，位于龙岩市区的西北边缘，319国道过境[3]。街道名称取自辖区内西山、陈陂两村各一字[2]。1992年至2013年间这里称西陂镇，此后改设街道办事处[1][4]。

历史沿革[edit]

明代，今街道范围属铁石乡的在坊里，西郊的西山、小洋、陈陂等聚落和北郊的张白土、赤坑、黄竹坑等聚落都在其内[4]。清代至民国初，这一带分属西山社、陈陂社和外江山社的部分区域[4]。

1929年至1930年冬，辖区先后设立陈陂区、外江山区和西山区苏维埃政府；1931年3月至同年10月，改由西陂区苏维埃政府管辖[4]。1933年这里归新罗区的外江乡与西陈区的石墩乡，次年划入第一区[4]。1949年11月，西陈区下辖西山、条围、大洋等村[4]。

1956年，这里划入附城区并设立西陂乡。1957年撤区并乡后，西陂乡沿用此名；其后西陂公社几经分合，1961年6月自城郊公社分出，重新设置[4]。1984年7月改设西陂乡。1987年的数字为：面积52.69平方千米，辖14个村、115个村民小组，全乡人口合计24957人，非农业者8311人[3]。1992年9月乡级建制改为镇，1997年时镇辖14个村委会[3][4]。

博雅地名网载，福建省民政厅于1995年3月批准撤镇，而街道办的挂牌时间为2013年1月25日[4]；百度百科则写作2013年撤西陂镇，改为西陂街道[1]。两种说法并存，本条目分别如实叙述。
