黉门前社区的名称来自旧时的学堂：古代称学堂为黉，此地在黉门之前。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

旧时山麓一座朝天岩庙内供有孔夫子神像，庙中还设有私塾，庙门朝向村落，村因此得名黉门前。[1]

1958年归城关公社，名为后门前大队；1970至1980年间并入合并后的大队；1981年县改市后仍以南城后门前大队的名义存在，1984年改为后门前村民委员会，1993年改设黉门前居民委员会，2003年再改设黉门前社区居民委员会。[1]
