东宫下社区位于龙岩市区，得名于东宫山下的东宫庙。[1]

地名由来[edit]

南面有东宫山，山上建庙供奉东宫圣王。社区位于庙宇下方，因此称东宫下。[1]

沿革[edit]

清代至明初，此地归平寨坊管辖。解放后，它隶属附城区铁石乡的溪西村，1960年改入城关公社。[1]

1961年，这里另设东宫小生产大队；文革期间的1966年，该小队并回。1987年，此地成为东宫下村委会；1995年，它成为东宫下居委会；2003年，改称东宫下社区居委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

社区于2022年度、2023年度先后获龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」称号，分别于2023年1月、2024年1月公布。[1]
