社兴社区位于龙岩市区，名称从解放前平在坊的社学、东兴两保各取一字而来。[1]

沿革[edit]

清代至民国初，这里属平在坊。民国33年（1944年）设社兴保。[1]

解放后这里称社兴村，1951年曾设社兴村乡，1953年成为社兴居委会。此后几经变化：1958年居委会与生产大队并存，1971年只剩生产大队，1979年冬又分设城东居委会与社兴生产大队，1981年冬改为社兴村委会。2002年1月，它改称社兴社区居民委员会。[1]

著名人物[edit]

博雅地名网载有几位东城社兴人：章独奇（别号香海居士，清光绪二十年即1894年生）、苏振寿（又名如南，字永年，清光绪十六年即1890年生）、苏逸云（又名寿乔，号卧云居士，清光绪四年即1878年生，1958年卒）、章启贤（字畸人，清光绪十年即1884年生）。[1]

荣誉[edit]

社区于2020年度获龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」称号，2021年1月公布。[1]
