东宝社区位于龙岩市区东部，地处东宝山山麓，名称由此而来。[1]
地名与沿革[edit]
社区所在处于东宝山麓，龙岩八景之一「东宝春云」即在此处一带，社区因此得名。[1]
这一带此前划归城东居委会。东宝居委会成立于1982年；2002年1月，它改称东宝社区居民委员会。[1]
2023年度，社区获龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」称号，2024年1月公布。[1]
