外洋村是福建省南平市建瓯市川石乡中北部的行政村，距乡政府所在地7.5公里。据博雅地名网，该村是福建省唯一的苗族自治村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名取自村外的一片田洋。[1]

1989年3月1日，外洋村委会从原村委会划出设立。[1]

外洋村在2021年11月获福建省爱卫办命名，称号为「2021年福建省卫生村」；同年12月，村庄被认定为「2021年度南平市“绿盈乡村”中级版村庄」；2024年6月，外洋村入选「福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡村」名单。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村地处建瓯与政和的交界处，位于乡境中北部，下辖4个自然村。村内以锥栗、毛竹、茶叶等为特色种植产业，并有茶油山。[1]
