历史沿革[edit]
据百度百科，村庄建于后晋天福八年（943年），早年名为“长城”，别称东苌里、金党城与君子乡。[2]
村名的来历：相传唐代规定千户以上的村庄可以取“城”字为名，村中当时已超过千户，因而得名党城。[1]
村子在清乾隆年间得“君子乡”之称。[2]
1949年属东游四区的党城乡，1958年划作东游公社党城大队，1984年才启用现名。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村庄距东游集镇约5公里，土地面积15.7平方千米，林地17768亩，耕地2406亩。[1]
人口民族[edit]
村内1个自然村、12个村民小组，共752户、2635人；百度百科载，户籍人口为2635人。[1][2]
名胜古迹[edit]
村中现存明清古民居约60多栋，分文官邸型、武官邸型和财主宅型三类。博雅地名网称另有64栋明清古民居正在修缮，百度百科则称现存64座明末清初古民居。[1][2]
保留有雍正丁未年（1727年）建的右文书院，叶氏宗祠为清代所建，另有紫竹寺、林公殿、关帝庙，以及护龙禅寺。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2014年11月，党城村被收入「第三批中国传统村落」名录。[1]
2016年5月，党城村被福建省人民政府认定为「第五批福建省历史文化名镇名村」。[1]
2021年11月获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号；2022年10月，村子被认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；2025年11月，又被认定为「福建省第二批省级乡村振兴示范村」。[1]
