上房村是福建省南平市建瓯市玉山镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的北部。村委会驻旱田坪，距集镇约14公里，北面通往建瓯市区约38公里。[1][2][4]

名称与沿革[edit]

村名的来历是：村委会驻地原为“上房自然村”，村名由此而来。[2]

1949年上房属东峰三区。1953年至1957年，本村隶属顺阳乡；1958年起至1960年上半年，划归小桥红桥公社；此后又归玉山人民公社。1952年，村属玉山七区的上房乡；1956年改属小桥区，仍称上房乡。1958年建为玉山公社上房大队，1984年才改用今名。[1][2][3]

人口与经济[edit]

2012年末，村辖区总人口2194人，其中男性1077人、女性1068人，以汉族为主，汉族为2137人。2012年农业产值达1559万元，村财收入为33万元。[2]

村内主要产出为毛竹鲜笋、毛竹、锥栗和柑橘，共有5家企业从事竹地板半成品加工。[2]

自然条件[edit]

境内以丘陵为主，海拔在430米至905米之间。矿产以钨矿为主，集中在“走洋山、秋竹坪山”一带。[2]

水利与设施[edit]

村内先后建成板楼水利发电站（1977年）和定墩水利发电站（1985年）；程控电话工程于1998年完成。[2]
