迪口村是建瓯市迪口镇下辖的行政村，也是镇政府所在地。[2]村名先后称秦溪、沼口，后因方言中「沼」与「迪」读音相近，定为迪口。[1]

名称与沿革[edit]

村名的变迁，据博雅地名网，先称秦溪，后改为沼口，再依谐音改作迪口。[1]

据百度百科，后晋开运三年（946年）游氏家族迁居此地，形成聚落，村落沿秦溪两岸分布。[2]1952年属迪口六区迪口乡，1958年称迪口公社迪口大队，1984年改为今名。[1]
