新建村是南雅镇的行政村，位于建溪河西岸，与南雅集镇仅隔一座桥。205国道与横南铁路穿过村境。[1]

名称由来[edit]

村庄先前叫蜘蛛网，因1959年修建水库，一些村民搬出另建居所，于是定名新建。[1]

行政沿革[edit]

解放前后，此地先属南雅一区南雅乡。1960年成为南雅公社新建大队，1984年才换用现名。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2022年10月，新建村被福建省农业农村厅认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]

村内有新建、白莲窠、石马等三处自然村，分为六个村民小组。至2012年末计230户、893人。土地面积5.1平方千米，耕地440亩，林地则有5119亩。[1]
