名称由来[edit]
据传，南雅原为城南的一处瓦窑坑，初名南瓦口。因“瓦”字显得不雅，遂换作“雅”字。解放前后，此地仍先后称南雅镇、南雅乡、南雅区。[1]
行政沿革[edit]
1958年人民公社化时，此地改为南雅大队，下辖十八个生产小队。1984年设立南雅村民委员会，原生产队此后称为村民小组。[1]
人口与土地[edit]
村中共703户农家，2703位居民，其中汉族2699人。土地共13010亩，林地7738亩。博雅地名网所载人口数字未注统计年份。[1]
交通[edit]
南雅大桥于1977年10月动工，1980年9月竣工通车，全长324.6米。大桥通车前，南雅与对岸隔河相望，往来须靠摆渡。水尾桥则是通往南部数村、林场及迪口镇的主要路桥之一。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
定光寺属南雅村管辖，因寺中主佛定光佛而得名。该寺1958年曾被毁，1985年由村民及邻村群众集资重建。[1]
天衢寺位于村后山岗，早年为观音殿，1958年佛像被毁。1985年起由政府出面，号召群众及有关单位出资，建成“天衢山阁”，可俯瞰南雅全景。[1]
七星寺原址于1958年被拆，1990年前后由群众集资重建。[1]
