吴大元村为畲族聚居的少数民族村，地处房道镇西部，离镇政府约6.5公里。[1][2]

文化[edit]

2009年省委和省政府授予该村第十届文明村的称号，2011年12月中央文明委又将其列为「第三届全国文明村」，授予荣誉。[2]

村里每年正月十四舞板凳龙，农历三月三办乌饭节，是村民喜爱的文体活动。[2]
